Further cyclones to affect Queensland and Western Australia


Queensland


Good to heavy rains are indicated on the Peninsula, Far North Coast during February, with varying rainfall from moderate to good occurring on the East and West Central Coast. Rainfall should vary from light to reasonably good on the Central Lowlands and Highlands, West Darling Downs, Maranoa and Warrego. Moderate to some good falls are indicated on the Upper Western, Port Curtis, South East and East Darling Downs, with mainly dry to moderate falls occurring on the Lower Western and Far South West.


New South Wales


Reasonably good to good rains are indicated on the New South Wales Coastline, with some heavier falls indicated on the Manning, Lower North Coast, Illawarra and South Coast. Rainfall on the Tablelands should vary from moderate to good, with some heavier falls indicated on the Northern Tablelands East and Central Tablelands South. Moderate to good rains are indicated on the Western Slopes, Plains and Upper Darling, with varying rainfall from light to reasonably good indicated on the Riverina. The balance areas should experience light to moderate falls.


Victoria


Varying rainfall from light to reasonably good is indicated on the North-East, Gippsland, East and North Central, with light to moderate falls occurring on the remaining areas.


Tasmania


Light to moderate falls are indicated on most areas with some areas of the West Coast experiencing reasonably good to good falls.


South Australia


Mainly dry to light falls are indicated on many areas, with some better falls occurring on parts of the Upper North.


Western Australia


Moderate to good rains are indicated on the Kimberleys and De Grey, with some heavier falls indicated to the West Kimberley.


Northern Territory


Good to heavy rains are indicated on most areas of the Northern Territory, although the Barkly should experience varying rainfall from moderate to heavy, and lesser falls to the Alice.
